i'm also curious about the dragon slayers. and are there any other dragon slayers? it's really a mystery how all the dragon just went missing in the same time... hope there will be an arc about it! XD

It was the woman Lucy was fighting with. She used her hair (she put some of it underground and guided it to the stands) to threaten either some innocent people in the stands, or Lucy's guildmates (I don't remember exactly who was threatened) but the situation was if Lucy used her magic, some innocents will die. It went to further show her characters as she would not harm innocents for the sake of pride or whatever. And they can make up for those lost points later.

on the other hand,

I understand the whole 7 years the world has changed, but suddenly, out of the blue, we get those multiple super strong characters, that Fairy Tail has to overcome. I am not sure how I feel about that. (lol Even though it was sooo hilarious, how all of the dragon slayers have a weakness for transportation. I almost died of laughter on that chapter :D )

I also was cracking up on the dragon slayers' weakness for transportation - not their greatest moment with the whole struggling for the last place and all - but to give them credit, as with any pro athlete it really is about how you finish and then go on.

I have to admit though that the newest chapter/ arc is getting a bit old, I may need to put it aside for awhile to build up a backlog and then start reading again. Don't know if any one else is having a similar problem with keeping everything straight with the 30 new characters that we have been introduced to.

I was looking for some manga recommendations when I came across this one...and although I think someone already mentioned it, I'll say it again: WHAT THE FRUITCAKE IS PLUE DOING IN HERE??? But then I had a facepalm moment when I realised that Hiro Mashima was the author of Fairy Tale as well -.- I have to admit that I'm not THAT impressed by the series at large, not because it's substandard in anyway - it's just that my taste runs more so towards the serious(?) shonen. I guess that while I might read this when I'm bored or something, it's not exactly a series where I'd go out of my way to keep up to date with (unlike Death Note or Tokyo Paradise). But nonetheless, I'm sure there are definitely people out there who think that manga just can't get any better than this...so enjoy! ^_^

The way Lucy stopped fighting when Flare threatened to harm innocents was really lame. I doubt Flare would really do it since it would be really obvious and would get her (or her entire guild) eliminated from the tournament.
